We’ll supply as little or as much design input as you need. We’re always looking for ways to make a renovation look just a bit more stylish and modern. Simple finishing touches can make all the difference – and they don’t have to be expensive.

Seamless Finish

There’s nothing worse than additions or renovations that look “tacked on.” It’s the mark of a Benchmark job to ensure that your changes fit in perfectly and form part of the total look that you want for your home.

Inclusions

All quotes allow for the quality of inclusions that suit the finish that you’re after. If it’s not a basic job we won’t quote for basic inclusions. (e.g. we won’t quote for standard baton fittings for the lights in your new entertaining area)

Time is Money

We organise our suppliers and tradesmen to maintain a continuous workflow – meaning no wasted time and the job’s finished faster.

Okay, so we’re blowing our own trumpet a little. But people say that we’re easy to talk to and they love our modern ideas, our work ethic and the quality of our finishes.

If you want home improvements that are stylish enough to make your friends horribly jealous, you need builders with the right sort of experience. We love doing quality work and that’s what we spend most of our time on. So we’re tuned into the latest trends. (Sounds a little immodest, but it’s true).

It’s all about fashion really – any qualified builder, who passed all his exams, will be able to construct something that stays standing up. But most people want more than that. Most people want at least a bit of “wow” factor. When you know more about the latest stylish building trends than your builder does, you know you’ve chosen the wrong person. If you want a basic building job done, it’s probably best not to contact Benchmark Renovations. We like to do the sort of jobs that people love to show off.

Now if that makes us sound like we’re expensive, you’ve got the wrong impression. Unlike the builders who make a killing out of charging for “extravagant” extras (like down lights instead of baton fittings) our quote will allow for that level of inclusion (at normal market prices), unless you ask us not to. You’d be surprised how little extra you need to spend to provide a superior finish to your renovations.

Internal & External Renovations

If you think you know what you’d like, but you’re not quite sure if it’s practical, we can help. We’ll give you feedback on the structural considerations or, when it’s needed, refer you to an engineer. And we’re happy to give suggestions, if you want them, on what’s going to look good. But if you know exactly what you want – that’s fine too. The main aim is to have renovations that don’t look “tacked on.”

Second Storey

Adding a second storey is one of those jobs that you just don’t give to beginners. We’ve worked on plenty over the years. So we know all the special considerations that are needed to complete a second storey for you in as little as 5 to 7 weeks, with as little inconvenience to you as possible.

New Homes

If you’re knocking down your existing property, you’ll want to end up with something that looks impressive – not mass produced or basic. Simple things like mirrored wardrobe doors and modern door handles and light fittings help achieve that look with surprisingly little extra cost. Since we don’t rely on income from inflated “extras,” you’ll find these items are just part of the normal Benchmark quote.

Extensions

An extra room shouldn’t look like an extra room. We’ll make sure your additions look like they were always meant to part of your home. Even outdoor living areas can be designed to flow perfectly from the existing structure. We’ll give you as much or as little advice as you want or need. And the inclusions that are quoted for will be the ones that provide the standard of finish that you want.

Decks & Pergolas

Finishing touches make a huge difference with decks and pergolas – and they don’t have to cost a fortune. This is when you’ll really appreciate dealing with builders who work on quality jobs. Bathroom Renovations

There are a few things that people have told us that are frustrating when it comes to bathroom renovations. The first thing is waiting forever for the quote to even come back to them. Benchmark will provide a written quote, on the spot, there and then! Another thing is feeling like their house has been transferred to a war zone. Benchmark’s policy is to keep your home as close to normal as possible, from start to finish of renovations, by using dust extractors, drop sheets, etc.
